I recall 13.5% was about tops? 30 year treasuries paid about 14 or so at one time. Maybe there is a chart somewhere.

And I remember at that time cautioning someone that interest rates COULD decline. "Man, they ain't NEVER coming back down again," he told me, with great scorn in his voice.

I remember getting 14% interest on a 3 month CD, sometime in 1984 or 1985
