Paul, re: <Yes - 50% below its 52 week high>

In retrospect it is clear that a bear market for AMD was confirmed when it failed to hold its 200 day moving average for two consecutive days on September 3,4. (Price of 35) That was two months ago.

Intel achieved this dubious distinction just last Monday. AMD has been there for a while and it will recover first. You have to admit that Intel is showing extremely poor relative strength, since the SOX index has rallied from 284 to 326 from its closing low last Monday, while Intel actually dropped further. (AMD has gone from 21 to 24, matching the rise in SOX).

From its closing high of 45 on May 9, AMD has declined 53% to its low of 21. OTOH, Intel's peak was on August 20th, more than 3 months later. Its decline has just begun. Any news of AMD solving its yield problem or something from FTC could send it down to 50 in a hurry.
