The way Republican Senator Feinstein has protected up much of the Mojave from solar development and the way Repubican Senators Kennedy and Kerry blocked wind power development that would spoil the view from their vacation homes.

The forever stall tactic on the energy legislation. The outright stifling of renewable energy by refusing to enact long term renewable energy subsidies to help incubate the industry during the Bush administration. The fact that 90% of existing energy subsidies go to oil. The list goes on and on. We should take this particular debate to the Politics of Energy thread, though, so as not to get folks here mad. In fact, if you want to know what the GOP thinks about renewable energy, then just go read through the posts on that thread. There is utter disdain for renewable energy there and that is common among the GOP.
