>>>Kernen today was discussing Cisco's pop today and saying something like, "Hard to believe, but 50%+ of the total revenue for all networkers are made by Cisco Systems."<<<

Hmmm. I still need to run those numbers. Maybe he should have said "net income", rather than revenue? Now that I can believe since I think CSCO has the highest margins of all networkers.

But like you said before, they did mention INTC's supposed buyback of shares. Not to mention Joe Kernan was the same guy touting the IBM buyout rumor of NOVL a couple months ago...should've known better after the same rumor rose and died twice before already. Joe is probably just giddy from all the hairspray fumes from his head.

I would disagree with you. Cisco does not make 50% network equipments.
Joe Kernen is only a reporter. We can not take his words as a fact.

I think ASND price is quite attractive at those levels. All the bad news is in the stock. I also think ASND has a leading technology in
certain area. If you are long term investor, you will be rewarded later for taking a little risk buying the stock at current levels.

It just my thoughts.

I heard it, Kernan said "profits" not revenues, about Cisco's 50%.

From "fluctuating revenue growth averaging 10 percent" to "mid- to high single digits" indicates the 50% devaluation of Ascend since $40-$50 wasn't crazy. Also it is very similar to the outlook given by Cascade before they were merged and all the forecasts turned rosey.
