<<Finally, does anyone recall Iomega ever saying anything about the retail cost of an n.hand disk?>>

My recollection is $10 per disk (20 meg).

Neil.

The Big Announcement

I remember when the 4"square blank was taunted and the analyst
went arrant with Jaz 2 predictions etc etc. It was big let down,
I was expecting something greater than a new ad campaign.

Now here we go again only 7 days left and I'm going to be again
let down if were waiting 10 days for some goofy announcement.

On the other hand the digital camera arena is heating up and prices are falling.
Got a call from Ingram today about specials on Ricoh RDC2E cameras, $100 off of previous wholesale prices, ( decent cameras ) these guys are getting pretty cheap.
I almost bit and bought some but kept in mind that IOM was sporting n-hand at COMDEX and this countdown thing looks like it might have something to do with cameras.
I think the trade knows of big time changes coming in the camera field and is starting the clearance of inventories.

I agree about the name; it's a bit clumsy. Can you imagine asking for a pack of "n.hand disks"? OTOH, "Clik disks" rolls right off the tongue. I think IOM should seriously consider adopting a zippier. . . . er. . .snappier name, assuming it hasn't done so already.
