Ken, I'm no engineer, but aren't you talking about an equilibrium case at 2200psi?

The oil flowing (being pushed) from the reservoir at 18,000 feet depth has the benefit of lithostatic pressure (from 13,000 feet of rock overburden) as well as overpressure within the reservoir from both rapid burial and hydrocarbon generation.
Your 2200 psi number is also a static pressure. We are talking about dynamic pressure here, or flowing pressure as we call it in the industry.
