KT,

Not only do you constantly lie and spin, you obviously also can't comprehend what I am saying.

I never said the law wouldn't lead to any racial profiling at all. In fact, I admitted it WOULD on some rare occasions because I AM HONEST and have no political agenda. However, the law doesn't give the police authority to do so. It's not a racist law in any way shape or form and those that wrote went out their way to make sure of that.

This is the issue.

It's important to understand we are not dealing with brownshirts here.

However, when you are dealing with law enforcement, military etc... there will always be some bad apples. Some very small percentage of military personnel will rape the village women and some cops will racially profile even though both are illegal.

Preventing those things are a separate legal issue.

But sometimes you have to fight the war even though you know that some people on your side will misbehave.

Right now we have a massive illegal immigration problem that is contributing to crime, draining financial resources, putting a burden on local property owners, depressing wages for citizens, and will eventually hasten the bankruptcy of the country etc...

The Federal government went AWOL on this because both parties are made up scumbags that are putting Hispanic politics and business interests ahead of the overall good of the country (including legal Hispanics even if they don't know it).

This law is an effort to minimize the damage of all the illegals by giving the police the ability to check the status of someone that they stopped for entirely LEGAL reasons IF there is reasonable reason to suspect they are illegal.

If there are civil liberties issues that concern people on the left, I have news for you. As a libertarian they concern me also. However, something like that should be dealt with by monitoring police and making sure police don't overstep, tweaking the law etc... This is about law enforcement going after criminals!!!!

It should not be solved by screaming it's a racist law, inciting anger among the ignorant, and trying to change the politics of the issue so democrats make political gains and the people that are trying to responsibly cope with the problem get trashed.

But as a partisan political hack you put your party ahead of the good of the country. You are just like the democrats and republicans that got us into this mess and that's why I call you a liar and scumbag.

Notice fat Al Sharpton "SCUMBAG NUMERO UNO" is out there raising a commotion.

4 steps to fix the illegal immigrant problem:

1. Tighten the borders. This applies to Canada, west coast, east coast and gulf coast, too. Foreigners should not be coming into the country illegally. Is this impossible? No. Is it cheap? No.

2. Arrest illegal aliens and deport them. There is no reason to do this until we fix the borders, though. I do not believe in the "path to citizenship" idea for illegals. For legal aliens, sure.

3. Make it a felony (subject to the three strikes rule) to hire a person in the country illegally. Yes, we will need computer support and fingerprinting, etc. Folks who think this is too invasive have to realize how invasive it is that a potential employer does a credit check and some do a drug test on you. The concept that the unemployed 10-17% of Americans will not do these jobs is nonsense. We will not do them at slave wages under unsafe conditions with no benefits, but we will do them for a fair wage. Hire Lehman and Bear Stearns former employees first.

4. Either fight the drug war seriously, by arresting users as well as pushers, or surrender and make it legal and make RJR a huge legal drug seller. I prefer the latter. But the worst choice is to only arrest sellers while allowing affluent users to get away with, at worst, a slap on the wrist. As long as we have the money and the habit, the sellers will show up.
