FF, we agree for the most part, but the one difference is that catholic management *still*, to this very day, is covering up cases.

this can't be blamed on lack of knowledge - it is simply a criminal cover up, most likely an attempt to protect the church from criticism.

the pope just went out of his way to call these accusation "gossip," clearly a power play to try and shame church members from asking legitimate questions.

oh, and that was on easter sunday.

i have no doubt that many people attack catholicism b/c they are religious.

however, that's all the more reason not to give them ammunition, imho.
