Dale,,,This is a guess-----I think GEACF is on their Pink sheets,,,,If the U.S. MM get's an inquiry or an order, he will check out Toronto market ,,,and then arbitrage the stock to fill the order,,,and I assume , take out a profit in so doing,,,,,stocks trade the heaviest where their distribution is the greatest,,in this particular case it is obviously Canada,,,since GAC can be very volatile a MM on it in the US,,would be risking too much to display a market without any client orders to work with,,,,as an example I tried very hard to get American Express to trade in Toronto a few years back,,,,at one point I went on holidays for 2 weeks , and when I returned , the market I had left on it was still posted,,,The bid price was now $7.00 cdn,,above the prevailing mkt in NY,,,and no one had hit me,,,,I was very glad of that particular circumstance , but it drove home the point that stocks trade where they are distibuted...
As far as the price you see being pre-split is that is the last trade,,which may have been some time ago
hope this clears matters up..
