It does not provide a solution for t he future. Instead it just harps on the past and lays blame on why it happened. Firing Salazar does not ensure that we will not have such a situation in the future.

The problem is not enuf oil, and the solution is to go alternative renewable, and Nixon and Carter both knew that in the '70s. O is the first pres since Carter to do something. May not be what you want, or as much as I want, but finally somebody is doing something. He just "bought" me a new refrigerator which uses barely more than 1 KWH/day. Whatta guy.
