Mark, Peritus is another company that Montgomery Securities featured in their report as a potential beneficiary of the Y2K problems. How Peritus (ptus) tools set compare with that of Zitl (Matridigm). I remembered, during one of the previous conference calls, Jack King said that ptus is one of a serious competitor to Matridigm. Any comments?

Mark writes: "About the only thing the shorts have proved is that their average skull thickness is about 4 inches."

Well, now let's recap last month, shall we? Since September 30, ZITL has fallen in a nearly straight line from 24 1/2 to 14 9/16. You can hold a ruler up next to the chart, and the trend line is almost perfectly straight. About the only thing 4 inches thick is the longs' stack of margin calls.

Just for fun, I continued the trend line down into the future. If the trend holds, Zitel should close below 14 on Nov 10, below 13 on Nov 13, below 12 on Nov 18, below 11 on Nov 23, and below 10 by Thansgiving.

Here's the part of Mark's post that should be of interest to ZITL investors: "Unisys Corp. Chairman Lawrence Weinbach recently told IBD he'd be cautious in seeking Year 2000 work. IBM executives also have expressed wariness. The chief concern: What happens if all the bugs aren't found? Who is liable if a customer's credit card, insurance or trading system goes haywire as a result of lurking code errors?"

If Zitel ever does get any y2k business, it may find itself in litigation until y3k.

John

Mark,

Yeah thats all fine and dandy for the "real" players involved here, but how does it effect the ZIT? And I fail to see what the "average thickness" of my skull has to do with making money! ;)

Happy Trading

Stan

<<average skull thickness is about 4 inches>>

Like they say, "Thick is better than long."

Thank you!! My wife says that my skull is solid bone. I really appreciate the improvement. Or was 'solid bone' figured into the average? Just curious.
