Meetings can kill you! Was in a meeting without knowing that all hell broke loose. Thankfully, options leverage doesn't knock you out. OTOH, damn it - my puts on 1200 would have come handy!

SPX one of the few indices still in bullish P&F mode:

Imo up day today but very leery of Monday.
I took a lot of $ off the table at yesterday's open. I unloaded several retail stocks among others. Retail is a good leading indicator both upside and downside.

Re ECRI leading indicator, it is very volatile. Having gone from minus 30 at the bottom of the market to plus thirty late last year. Now its dropped to about 12. While ECRI states that indicates slowing, rather than recession, given its volatility whats to prevent it from going negative?

Awesome thread GZ. Have you considered just playing one side of the market depending on your signal -ie shorting the runups and covering the dips?
