Let me first say that I am out of pm's and looking to get back in. I am not over concerned as my main thrust is not to be stuck with just UK pounds.

Scenareo 1. Today is a "blip". Gold has been over bought and there is a steady sell off over the next few days.

Scenareo 2. Today is SHTF day and then things turn really bad. Massive sell off and cash is king. Gold will be sold off too from forced selling. Longer term, gold will go to the moon, but short term there will be a dip.

From 1999 till now that seems to be the way things go.

Silver has not moved much today by comparison to gold.

...and of course there is a rumour that the POG is manipulated.

but let me just stress that I am no expert on the pm market. It's my guesses. Nothing more.
