That same situation occurs here very often....due to sensitivity toward patient and family,doc's will not often tell a patient he's only got a few weeks to live. The treatment for advanced stage 4 patients will only help in a small percentage of cases, e.g. 30%, anyway. The treatment may cause misery for the patient and not gain him much additional time. In some cases they will level with the patient and lay it on the line and for a person that sick, his decision is most often the obvious one.
Many people will fight till their last breath but not many.

What do you think would happen to our citizens if their insurance companies were asked to pay many thousands of dollars or what would happen to a patient without any insurance?
