But of course if you are a freethinker you are free to think whatever you want and most of them "thought" it would be to their advantage if they killed everyone who disagrees with them. Especially those bad bad Christians.

All the "higher impulse" language is simply stolen concepts because there is no thought that is higher in the freethinkers world.
