Its the inverse, to an extent, of your analysis in buying it. I use these factors...percentage profit relative to my anticipated time frame, the market, the aciton in the stock, the stomach churning and whether it is worth owning the thing, other stocks in the sector.

I arrange my screen via. sectors, chips, box makers, hard drive, pharms, drugs, defense, etc. IF i buy one and then the market leader turns down, I factor that in significantly in when to sell. the same if the market leaders turn up, I might use that to buy one of them.

Lots of factors...the number one I use is experience.....I sounds kind of vague, but it is very difficult to spell out exactly what I use, all i know is that it works and has gotten me to my place in the firm. I try to share what I can, but I don't have a book with chapters that tellme what to do in a certain situation.

I am always willing to share, when I can.
