They've talked about cables but the channels are extremely dangerous and deep.

Plus, the trades slack off at night when Oahu really needs the juice. Oahu has excellent sites for wind but they have the same mindset as the clowns in Mass. NIMBY all the way. They want wind farms on the outer islands and a State wide tax to pay for it(and the cables) so Oahu can have us subsidize their electric habit.

Molokai is much better for wind, is much closer to Oahu and the west end is very un-populated. Problem their is Hawaiian activists. They closed down the big resort there and then demanded the resort keep the water system going!

Too funny. Molokai survives off Fed and State welfare yet wants gov't and business out. The original Tea Party folks. -g-
