Good post but your last paragraph left me wanting... Actually not the conclusion I expected :O) In the case you cited herd (troop) behaviour was beneficial.. but sometimes in the market we all climb the tree and find out that the jaguar is imaginary and the lone chimp on the ground gets to gorge himself and BTW if we are talking chimps, jaguars are in SA ... so it was an imaginary leopard or the chimps are spider monkeys :O)

I think your market participant behaviour breakdown was pretty well bang on... so the 8th reco was mine..
