The following is an E-Mail from David Smith that I received today.

-------------------------------------------
Please post the following to SI:

I have requested my certs for my main account which has 575,600 shares (yes, I acquired more).ÿ THIS will have an affect on the shorters.ÿ My IRA account, I am told, cannot be used to short against. If this is untrue, let me know.

Regarding the float apparently turning over as stated by Russell Gish, the shorter was doing considerable neutral trading (buying and selling on the same day) to give appearances of weakness in the stock. This runs up the volume without real buying and selling taking place. Also, when considerable shorting is occuring, more shares are entering the market over and above the float so the float appears higher. However, those shares WILL have to be covered and returned to inventory. That will cause a runup of the price.

David Smith
