So you are acknowledging you were wrong, thank you.

It is your claim that Socket 7 is an obsolete technology. I am just pointing out that Intel is relying on the "obsolete technology" for majority of their revenue.

In my opinion, the technology is not obsolete. I think L2 running at half the speed of the processor was misguided.

Intel will acknowledge it when they drop their L2 or add it to the chip. There will be no difference whether this new chip is in Socket 7, half empty Slot 1 or Slot 2.

But the real question is why you think Intel is right all the time. Can't you think for yourself? If you looked at what Intel does more critically, you would not look like a fool half the time.
