I'm sort of thinking the Deepwater Horizon started drilling the currently problematic well somewhat before 2010-04-01. As near as I can recall, the analysis at the time was that Obama's action wasn't going to have any effect for years. New leases don't mean a lot when most of the old leases weren't being drilled.

The timing of Obama's move was unfortunate, but it had nothing to do with the BP well. You're just a partisan liar, like the rest of your ilk.
