To: Cage Rattler who wrote (30372 ) 5/11/2010 12:39:32 AM From: grusum 4 Recommendations Read Replies (1) | Respond to of 103300 yes, the whole thing seems ominous. much bigger than just obama. i think we have to look at the power brokers like soros. it's not just the liberals either. it's the attitude of getting something for nothing. people want something for nothing even if they don't know the difference between a liberal and a conservative. and that gives the liberals a decided advantage. so you have the useful pawns abetting the power brokers. the useful pawns don't know they will be sacrificed also when the time comes. for me, this is what it boils down to.. concentrated or centralized power always gets corrupted. it doesn't matter if the concentration of power is public or private. on the private side, unions are always corrupted if they wield any substantial power. on the public side you've got the FDA, SEC, DEA, HUD, DOE, EPA, NEA and on and on. all corrupt. and most bring about the very things that they were created to prevent. even the quasi public agencies like fanny and freddie are corrupt. and how about the federal reserve? and lastly, let's not forget that most of the congress and senate is filled with corrupt politicians. and we have one in the white house too. could it be worse? yes, there could be even more corruption. but it is plenty bad already. so what's the answer? i would say decentralization is the answer. i believe that there comes a point where if power is decentralized enough, it no long is worth attempting to corrupt it. we need government. because i don't see how anarchy could work. but if government power was decentralized enough, it wouldn't be worth the effort it would take to corrupt it. socialism couldn't exist in a decentralized environment. corruption would be cut to minuscule levels. and a truly free market that would result would make for the most powerful economy the world has ever seen. an economy that would lift everyone's standard of living by providing an abundance of high paying jobs. and that is what the socialists don't see and refuse to believe.
