I really don't like how our State/County gov't here punishes the public to get their way. When the Governor tried to streamline the Health and Human services sector the unions went out on a sick out then followed up with a prolonged work slowdown. result? it takes over 4 months just to get a first intake meeting for food stamps.... meanwhile, the Feds are so pissed at the inadequacies of our system they are going to withhold funds from the State that we desperately need to feed the poor...
