You ever watch Ice Road Truckers? I don't think it's going to be that easy. Deep water drilling is obviously difficult, but it's easy to get stuff there. Northern Alaska, not so much. I've taken to reading theoildrum.com of late, following Wharf Rat's lead. They have some good technical people there, also some riff-raff, it's the internet, what can you do? Looked up the topic there, sentiment seems to be ANWR is nowhere near the sure thing it's made out to be. Couple random links from a quick search and scan: theoildrum.com , theoildrum.com . One thing they noted in passing, the Alaskan pipeline might be shot. Or maybe not, it's sort of a noisy forum.
