From what I remember, the whole thing was proven to be a fabrication by the right.........that's why I asked for your link. If anyone got hurt, it had nothing to do with politics.

The woman got a broken leg.

It was not a "right wing" fabrication -- everyone from Michelle Malkin to Jindal's office has denied the Palin hate crime occurred.

However, the victim claimed, from the hospital, to have heard one of the attackers refer to the Palin pin she was wearing.

This was covered up IMO. It wasn't a big deal at the time as they (NOPD) were dealing with the 7 person shooting a couple blocks from the location. I was two blocks away and didn't hear of it until after I got home on Monday.
