Re: CLIK WWW scheme...

Dontcha think the ephemeral presence of the "CLIK" was just for
a tease? Are they sneaky enough to do that?

I have to agree with the individual that said this was a big announcement, but big only for the great unwashed (not us!).
We shouldn't get too worked up about it and set ourselves up
for disappointment. Hrmmm... kinda like whisper numbers.

Just a reminder of how insignificant it all can become. Good to keep things in perspective!

Kunal, the Sony Mavica puts 20-40 pictures on one floppy. It has
been available for about half a year and sells for about $500.

I have a low-end digital camera that takes terrific pictures. 48 pictures in 4 megabytes. That comes out to slightly more than 80k per picture.

Even assuming 200K per picture, that's 7 pictures per floppy disk. So you have to change floppies after 7 pictures. Is that such a big deal for casual use?.

Of course the floppy drive would add weight and space on the camera. But so would the n.hand. If weight and space on the camera is an issue (and it certainly is), then flash memory will continue to be the leader.
