Re: [then I will take a reduction from 22.1% of GDP to 18.2% of GDP ANY TIME over a piddling reduction of 21.7% of GNP to 21.3%!] I would as well but again it happened - "Under entirely different circumstances, with no plausible connection to the tax rates."

Cut to the chase, why don't 'cha....

Is it YOUR CONTENTION that: "since every single year in the calendar is a 'completely different year' that it is therefore impossible or invalid to attempt to compare/contrast the economic results that occurred during *any* Presidency with the results from any other Presidency"???????????

Or are you trying to assert that tax rates *did not* increase or change during the Clinton presidential years???????????? (You did say 'no plausible connection to the tax rates....')

Or are you trying to MAINTAIN (color me skeptical if you are!) that a change in the sector size of federal government (relative to GNP) of from 22.1% down to 18.2% over a mere eight years ISN'T STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT?????????????
