I don't think we banned whale hunting in this country. I died out because we only used if for the oil, not the blubber. So the industry died out. Other countries like Japan still hunt whales. There are some international restrictions, and we have banned whale hunting in our waters, but as far as I know we never actually banned our people from whale hunting.
