As said, we are dealing with denial.

What I have suggested is SOP for any organization worth its salt.

I am not saying the chairman go overboard like Japanese CEO's do. Just admit the obvious and use some common sense.

That way it will encourage the rest of the organization to discover within themselves how they could have done things a little bit better... and so on.

... that's the only way the blunders stop. Otherwise BP remains damaged goods imho.

It looks as if the oil leak problem in the GOM might be worse then first thought.

I have some experience in industry, but not in the oil biz though. I wonder if BP were just extremely "unlucky" or if some of the unsafe practices followed by the subcontractor have been more widespread? That this is just one of those instances where what was guaranteed to happen, "happened"??

I am a prospective BP shareholder btw. It's just that I am careful with my money amongst other things. I am not buying in just yet.
