Let me ask you a simple question tejek. And for once in your life just try giving a simple honest answer. Why, are you addressing this topic to me? You know I don't mind discussing most topics just for the fun of it but I am not an expert on this topic. So ok maybe you think I might have interesting perspectives, maybe not. But other posters on the thread are much more into it and knowledgeable about it than I am. You know I don't profess to be a Christian don't you?

A powerful testimony - the man atheists can't admit existed:

The desperate attempt to claim Jesus never existed is really a backhanded testimony for him. Jesus is clearly the most compelling, charismatic, and admirable figure in human history. Who can match his moral and spiritual character and dignity? Even perverted self-described admirers of Lucifer like bentway seek to claim he was really one of them (a communist, a free-lover, whatever) ..... when not denying he even existed, of course.

Of course that preposterous claim can't bear close scrutiny. One could make the same silly argument involving anyone who lived long ago .... but no one bothers to deny any other historical figure, like Buddha or Lao Tse or Socrates. It seems only Jesus' life and example is such a threat to those who don't want there to be a God that they can't admit such a man even existed.

Do they realize what a powerful testimony they're giving when they show they can't bear to admit he even existed? If they admitted he existed, would they have to believe in him?
