Certainly I can understand why a left wing guy would get sick of hearing RW attacks and how the left wing is to blame for everything gone bad, exaggerations and simple spins are annoying as well. BTW you represent that to the ears of right wingers.

Its rather easy to say that the two equate each other. I am sure that's how you see it. However, they don't equate. You don't starve an entity of cash and then act all surprised when the entity falls apart. And that's what happened in CA. The conservatives who proposed Prop 13 got the people to vote for the proposition by promising lower taxes. At the same time, through provisions included in the prop., they made it nearly impossible for the state to raise revenues. And from that point forward, the state has been completely hamstrung fiscally. Yes, a certain culpability can be attributed to liberals....I am sure some of them voted for the proposition. But the majority of the blame rests with the conservatives who cooked up Prop 13 in the first place.

And btw wingers have tried to do the same in OR and WA. They were successful in OR up til last year......apparently Oregonians had not learned the CA lesson. But last year, after their public school systems started going broke they turned around and raised the taxes on the rich. In WA state, we have successfully rejected all but one of the propositions that would have hamstrung the state's finances. But the wingers here keep trying every year.

As for my blaming the Rs, I am extremely fair about that blame. I only blame them for that which they are culpable. Unfortunately, for them, there is much blame to go around. They did a hell of a lot of damage in the first 8 years of this decade.

At the same time I must ask you if you think the circumstances, influences, and events leading up to current conditions have any thing to do with those current conditions?

I thought that's what my posted pointed out.

Then aa a follow up I have to ask if you think California is influenced or has been influenced at all by left wing agendas, politics, social movements, trends etc. I have heard for years that California is completely blue and from people who live there, and just how extremely proud of that fact they are. Up until now and recent years when the system is buckling and culture is falling to pieces, people like you have flown the coup... Now its the tea partiers who have made California what she's become. Do you honestly believe that?

Yes.
