In return for the property, valued at around €78m, Ms Lario is prepared to accept a greatly reduced monthly payment, according to Italian newspapers. She had asked for €3.5m a month when the two sides met in January. But Mr Berlusconi, whose fortune has been estimated at £7bn, refused, saying he was prepared to pay at most €300,000 a month. That meeting lasted only 20 minutes.

Can you imagine getting 300K euros per month AND a 70 million euro villa in a divorce settlement? Be still my beating heart!

He can easily afford that.

Now to his poor wife, right?... Berlusconi was interviewed some time ago on live Italian TV. Since he had recently met with Rasmussen, that Danish guy now in a top Nato position, he was asked how he liked him? 'He seems to be a nice guy - and that said, he for sure looks a lot better than the mayor of Venice', he said.

All Italy was rolling on the floors laughing their ass off.
Why so?
Because all of Italy well knew, that the Mayor of Venice were his wife's current lover...

Poor Ms Berlusconi :)
