I haven't and don't need to back away from things you make up and lie about me saying. Like your claim I said cells were "bags of water". I didn't and wouldn't say that as I know they're more complex than anything mankind has built. Now you're trotting out "one example of scientists who don't think living things are intelligent". No one needs scientists to tell us whether living things are intelligent - we are such things. Now, are cells intelligent? Thats another question entirely and it would depend on the meaning of 'intelligent'. Are plants intelligent? Are living things without brains intelligent? Most would reserve the term intelligent for things that can think and reason.

Now of course, there's a vast amount of intelligence written into cells software. Which leads us to the question, are computers intelligent? They're a reasonable analogy.

Your "gotcha" attempt merely shows your abysmal reading comprehension deficit.
