It's not Cape Coral or Port St. Lucie, that's for sure. Are you looking in higher end areas now? Still coming down in price, are they? Long way to go?

Funny you should mention Santa Barbara- my co-worker and her Doctor hubby just bought a fixer with killer views for 1.6 Million over there. They were outbid on several homes prior to that one and even on this one the owner tried to weasel out of the signed deal when higher offers came in later. The good locations always get bid up while the plain Jane ones sit and languish and have to price reduce so you get get something to make the bulls happy and something to make the bears happy. Yeah, just an anecdote I know : )
