Rap, I must be an average user but even some power users I know have reverted to using the MS firewall and MSSE. Less fuss.

So far I've heard and seen nothing bad about MSE but the same was true about Giant Antispyware which Microsoft bought and renamed Microsoft Antispyware. For about 6 months it was great then after that it not only wasn't good at detecting malware it also slowed computers down dramatically. After Microsoft Antispyware became useless they redid the interface and named it Windows Defender which also started off good but has become practically useless. Hopefully this time things will be, if MSE is still getting good press a year from now I might consider using it.
