Price of gold in Norwegian Kroner -

fx.sauder.ubc.ca

The Kroner is not doing as well as the Canadian dollar.

That might mean some bargains in Norwegian securities in the near future. Or maybe not.

Maybe Norsk Hydro, with oil operations around the world.

I thought the drug company, Novo Nordisk, was Norwegian, but they are Danish.

There are a number of small oil and mining companies in Norway.
Crossy's thread often covers them.
Subject 14605

These small companies may lose access to capital during the Euro crisis, and there could be some sharp drops. There's a good chance the prices will stay low after the crisis, since it may take some time for capital to return.

Europe's future is to receive hordes of tourists of emerging markets. They need to tend the castles. Prepare good food.
Nice drinks.

But they have to improve service a lot!

Note: in the 80´s tourism contributed double to German GDP than steel.

And the my German colleagues at Siemens thought Germany was an industrial nation!

Europe is obviously being returned to its natural size with a thud! Japan is gliding to a return to insignificance. Europe will be much faster.

Think demography.
