Thanks for the Chicago Tribune article about Mitch Daniels! He certainly sounds like the "real deal"....We need Paul Ryan, Mitch Daniels, and Chris Christie, and any others like them to be the new standard bearers. Loved Daniels comments on why he is at arms length on the Tea Parties....Most of us concur... Plus it would seem that John Koss from the CT also knows that the Tea Parties are peopled by all sorts of political groups...much as the Democrats want to deny that! He agrees with the ideas expressed by this amazing gathering of independents, conservatives, Democrats and Republicans who are worried about the federal debt and the federal leviathan growing by the hour. "But the tea party must be authentically separate and spontaneous, which I think it is," Daniels said. "I have carefully stayed away from it — not because I don't appreciate what they are doing, because I do — but because I don't want them tainted by too close of a relationship to either party.
