Or bad money management? "And hedge funds did exactly what to cost taxpayers money?" Could've sworn they participated in the shorting and creating of the CDS, and other faulty insurance crap, which in turn caused the bailout of WS, which I've heard has something like $23tril in guarantees from you guessed it the American people. BWTFDIK!
