Gremlins obviously drilled through the hydraulics in the blow out preventer and put sea water in the electronics of the
bop brain. <Why did that accident happen? >

Gremlins disrupted Halliburton by swapping gray flour for cement in the grouting so that was no good either. The government bloke told them to take the mud out now and get on with the job so he could take an early holiday. Then the platform guys were having a quiet smoke of dope when they shouldn't have provided an excellent ignition source when the gas came up the pipe.

BP had ticked all the safety boxes and thought they had it all perfect and were writing it up as their best project yet. Tony was headed for sainthood and a knighthood.

Now he has people piling on, looking for a piece of the loot, with Robert Kennedy and swarms of politicians making hay while the sun shines and the media making $millions gloating, Obama putting his boot on those English throats in revenge for them trying to civilize Kenyans back in the day and people in cyberspace being instant experts on who dunnit.

Meanwhile, there really isn't much of a problem other than BP shareholders are incurring a huge clean up bill as swarms of ships and boats, aircraft, booms, beach sweepers, suppliers and hangers-on make a fortune.
