"....for good reason."

One reason might be as Brumar indicated, people are more likely to let it all hang out wrt their feelings on particular emotional issues: the economy, family, relationships, employment, other opportunities, resources, justice, fair treatment, legislation, the identity vision and direction of our people, individual issues, etc. That, would explain how differences in point of view are just that. Those differences can be discussed rationally, as we juxtaposition values, principle, perspective, and circumstance without expressions of hatred or bigotry.

Spinning stories just to dishonor some public official or a group, or manipulating information to misrepresent circumstance, or twisting things that other posters have said in a mean spirited fashion is hateful and uncalled for. Especially, tejek, when you can show yourself to be a normal human being until some clown puppet shows up and then you start acting like a pack of rabid jackals, going into a frenzy and feeding off each other's compulsion to bite. There is no 'good' reason for that conduct, only bad reasons. I'm sure there are other reasons as well, but not good reasons.
