KT,

Notice how your solution to everything is to confiscate even more of the wealth of the producers in our society without any regard for the economic impact, the desires and values of those who actually the pay the taxes, and despite the fact that if someone was trying to impose their social or economic values on you you'd have a hissy fit.

>>1. Social Security is completely solvent with very minor changes. A year or two change in the date you can start will be a miracle worker. And making the cutoff point of the ss tax much higher. My own preference would make it limited only by income. A guy who makes $10 million a year should pay social security taxes on the full amount, not on some wee percentage.<<

$85 billion was just stolen from medicare in april alone. you presume government controllers would allow tax payer money to actually go back to tax payers without them looting it en masse.

given the last 2 years, i consider that to be an exceptionally polyana position grounded in fantasy.

CA poor about to get services hacked so bankers can get paid for bad loans...

>>2. Ditto on age for Medicare. And/or premiums have to be raised. They can be tripled and still be cheaper and provide better coverage than a private plan.<<

polyana. the bankers still need trillions more - so taxes will be raised in order to pay off bankers first. nothing left for citizens.

loyd blankfein gets trillions... help for gang members gets a 75% haircut courtesy of obama's controllers...

>>4. People will be paid in food stamps, or scrip, as they were during the depression.<<

$11 trillion in payouts and guarantees to special interests... citizens get put on food stamps - 40 million and counting. who runs the food stamp cards? jp morgan. they made money on the way up, they got bailed out on the way down and they profit on the povertization (i made up the word) of america, too. ha ha ha.

>>5. The currency devalues itself. No correction needed. Americans don't save anyway, so they can't be ripped off.<<

that is an incredibly simple minded statement. americans don't save - 300 million dumped into a single bucket for the sake of simplifying Knighty's world view... uh, no. you are wrong. many americans do save, even if more don't save much at all.
