Why was he reported as being a government bloke then? And maybe he was told that the blow out preventer and Halliburton concrete were in place and it was time. Perhaps the government bloke was a government bloke who told the BP bloke it was okay to remove the mud. It is obvious to not take the pressure off if the control systems aren't ready. That's not the sort of mistake that can happen. More likely, the control was supposedly ready but the device to do the control didn't work according to specifications. Mqurice
