I spoke with Southcoast Communications yesterday (IDX's PR firm).

I spoke with Jill who is the rep who handles IDX and has done so for years.

It appears that IDX works with NEC on a contact to contract basis (based presumably on design wins). So what this means IMHO is that IDX is not an exclusive supplier for NEC. It probably involves "design wins" PO to PO business. As far as she knew business like that was steady to increasing for IDX.

I brought up with her these issues:

the dearth of publicity by SC on IDX

the confusion of IDX and IDXC symbols

the AMX market

Regarding the latter, she said that SC and IDX are informed daily by the AMX specialist on all matter of facts relating to the trading of IDX stock (shorting, etc.). They like that working relationship.

The publicity issue involves attorneys (always) and thus the delay in publicity getting everyone's OK.
