Here's a fact: How big a "deal" the oil spill is doesn't depend solely on the amount of oil involved, and for that matter, doesn't even depend MOSTLY on the amount of oil.

I suggest you read up on Ixtoc I.

That's right. You never heard of it. I wonder why?

Maybe because it happened in 1979.

It was 140 Million gals (3.3M bbls) over 9 months. Along Texas coasts, 1,500 birds were killed -- more than that were killed with BB guns during the same period.

Oh, I feel so much better. May be we should ban bb guns.

How the fukk do you know how much oil is involved when BP doesn't know for sure? Please tell me how you know.......does God speak to you too?

There are large plumes of oil under the water. What effect will that have on the fisheries and wildlife? Will it suppress the O2 in the water? Please ask God to tell you what we should expect.

And what happens if a hurricane hits?

In the meantime, the plumes are 3 miles away from the current that runs to the Keys. What's happens if the oil is sucked down into the Keys? Will it then get sucked into the Gulf Stream? I bet God will know the answer to those questions as well.

How serious this spill is TBD. To date, Hume is entirely correct -- the disaster is pending.

You know what, o wise one, you tell your tall tale to the fishermen on the Gulf Coast. Seriously. I dare you to go down this weekend and tell those fishermen that what's in the waters in the Gulf is nothing...that they should not worry about a few dead fish. And have someone with a camcorder go with you......to get the fishermen's reactions. And then you post it on youtube.....I bet it goes viral within the week.

Bottomline: you and Hume are two dumbasses........how do either of you get dressed in the AM without someone's help?

It hit Mexico pretty hard. Would have been more of a problem for Texas if it hadn't of been for the booms that were placed to block the oil.
