I don't dislike everything about Reagan.

I just dislike that he didn't really pursue BALANCING the equation.

He had a chance to do that but he didn't.

He TALKED about how terrible Deficits were when he ran against Carter, but he NEVER really tried to do anything about it.

He could have run Massive surpluses and paid off the debt to that point and let everybody know that he thought the government should PAY its way from then on but he DIDN'T.

He just "Piled Up Debt" and left every Republican for the last 30 years thinking that the Best way to get elected and serve was to continually cut taxes and NOT worry about deficits.

Just 4 or 5 years ago Dick Cheney went on National Television and said "Reagan proved that DEFICITS DON'T MATTER".
