I wouldn't dismiss it, I just think too much weight is pushed on it. The models don't reflect reality nearly as well as some would represent them as doing so. I don't even think Kling is dismissing models and data in economics, as much as he's very strongly favoring strong data, and multiple studies or techniques over applying increasingly complex and sophisticated techniques to tease some conclusion out of very limited or uncertain data. That and he's asking for low confidence in a lot of the results of these models (which isn't the same as totally dismissing the models)
