CSPAN 11/5/97 Y2K Banking committee (11/4/97 meeting). Gartner Group, et al. Lots of talk of embedded systems being a bigger threat to the large banks than software/Y2K. Large US banks, large US companies are doing fairly good job with their Y2K software problems. Chairman said it looks like embedded system Y2K problems is what large banks have to watch out for. Small and offshore companies are slow in starting y2K fixes. Lots of good talk. Did not catch it all. Worthy of getting a transcript. Tried to search it out on the web without too much luck. Anyone know how to get CSPAN transcripts via the net?
