Yes, a bit of a downwards flow. My shorts of JPM and WFC are looking good. This is the first time I have ever shorted something so it's an interesting approach. I was close to shorting the housing industry and banks at the peak but because of NZ's tax laws regarding capital gains and speculation, and I wasn't set up to do it, I thought better of it.

By shorting a stock, one is ipso facto a speculator, not an investor in the sense of contributing capital to an enterprise for the purpose of producing profits from the sale of goods and services.
