I still don't see what this means for Ethernet NICs in home computers. This talked about high performance servers in networks--not home based PCs. Additionally, there was nothing mentioned about mass market migration of this technology to individually networked PCs. It is a quantum leap to make an assumption about this type of technology going to the mass market. We probably won't see it for years. Then again, at the current rate of deployments, we probably won't see ADSL in our homes for years either. Right now, we still only have Ethernet as the only mass-produced, affordable network card for the PC.
