"In the only real election, Murtha's aide won vs. the GOP candidate"

he ran in a 2-1 dem district, on a day when there was a state wide dem. primary. He ran on a pro life, pro gun, anti Obamacare and even after the oil rig spill he said drill, baby, drill.

He was the Rush Limbaugh of his district, he was more conservative that the republican. Lets see whats happens when a dem runs on Obama's record

Benedict Arlen Specter got exactly what he deserved from the type of people that were highly likely to do it to him. He's a moron.

I like Rand Paul. I have about 80% agreement with his positions, and, the ones on which I disagree with him, he will never see daylight. Those include overturning parts of The Civil Rights Act and "no abortion, any time for any reason." I hate abortion and believe it should be prevented by birth control. I don't know if he believes in birth control. On the Civil Rights stuff, he is out to lunch, but at least he has to eat at an integrated lunch counter. <G>

However, claiming that it was the people who won the primary for him, then having his victory party at a private country club, shows his Tea Bagger true colors. Pretending to be common folk when they are really White only GOP elites. But I think he has the sense to learn from that mistake and distance himself a bit from the crazies.

I don't know much about the Democratic candidate, as they usually have no chance in Kentucky. But it could be a real race this time.
